Exploring Public Discourse on Inclusive Education in Kazakhstan

UNICEF wanted to understand public opinion and discourse surrounding inclusive education in Kazakhstan. rowsquared, as part of a social media listening (SML) study led by Oxford Policy Management (OPM), used Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyze and extract insights from a vast corpus of text data gathered from various online sources.

We designed and implemented a social media listening exercise, analyzing content from popular social media platforms and news outlets. Additionally, data was scraped from websites of specific organizations actively working in inclusive education, ensuring a diverse and representative dataset.

Using NLP techniques, we were able to identify key themes, sentiments, and trends that emerged from the online conversations surrounding inclusive education in Kazakhstan.

The final report of the study offered valuable insights into the prevailing attitudes surrounding inclusive education practices in Kazakhstan. These insights can inform targeted awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, and policy decisions, contributing to the promotion of a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape for all students in Kazakhstan.
