Endline Study of Fish for Food Security Project

The “Fish for Food Security Project” in Zambia was part of the global Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture initiative led by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), conducted across five countries. It aimed to enhance food security through sustainable practices by providing technical and methodological support to local fish farmers and stakeholders.

rowsquared joined the project at the endline stage to support the refinement of survey instruments.

Our team revised six questionnaires covering key aspects of the fish value chain to ensure comprehensive data collection. We focused on maintaining alignment with previous project phases for consistency throughout the initiative.

During data collection, we assisted in monitoring fieldwork quality, implementing automated checks to improve data accuracy. Although field operations were managed by other teams, our quality controls contributed to enhanced data reliability, leading to positive feedback on the more consistent dataset produced at the endline.

After data collection, we carried out a thorough process of data cleaning and structuring, followed by detailed analysis to create key indicators.

Our team compiled the findings into a comprehensive, well-structured 40-page endline report, which was also professionally designed. The report assessed project outcomes and provided recommendations for enhancing food security policies in Zambia.
